Fountainous

While we’re on the subject of holiday reading, I am informed by one Ian Whates, scholar, gentleman, SF author and, notwithstanding inasmuch as which, publisher of the SF anthology Fables from the Fountain, that sales so far have raised a few pence short of £520 to endow the Arthur C. Clarke Award. This award is given annually to the best British SF novel published in the previous year, but is, I believe, in search of a new sponsor (I’d be pleased to be corrected on this) which is why Mr Whates sought to raise money in this enterprising way. As I believe I mentioned before, Fables from the Fountain is full to the gunwhales with new, minty-fresh science fictional amuse-bouches from a cornuplethora of British SF talent, and me. But never mind that. What with the winter festivities on their way, Fountain is the ideal gift for the SF fan in your life – and you’ll be contributing to a good cause. Go on, you know you want to two.
