Normally he sits on the mouse mat demanding attention, or sits on my making sure I can&#8217;t refuse.  During the course of this, he was distracted:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2369\/2336767043_ea98f04120.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"211\" height=\"281\" \/><br \/>\nThe cause was easy to guess.  One of the local sparrows had come for a visit.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3288\/2337564986_7af9527133.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"422\" height=\"248\" \/><br \/>\nThe Beast reacted by looking very interested and squeaking a bit.  After a few minutes, he got bored and sat down.<br \/>\nThe Beast is sensible enough to know that leaping through the doors isn&#8217;t a good idea, and the birds know this too.  So much so I think some of the tits hop onto the balcony just to laugh at him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This morning, The Beast got very excited.
