{"id":191,"date":"2008-11-18T13:23:46","date_gmt":"2008-11-18T13:23:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/occamstypewriter.org\/erikacule\/2008\/11\/18\/nature_networking\/"},"modified":"2025-01-30T07:48:46","modified_gmt":"2025-01-30T07:48:46","slug":"nature_networking","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/occamstypewriter.org\/erikacule\/2008\/11\/18\/nature_networking\/","title":{"rendered":"Nature Networking"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Whilst in Boston, in between sightseeing excursions&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><p style=\"text-align:center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/lh3.ggpht.com\/_SPEoWFy-qc4\/SSLAdHYoSnI\/AAAAAAAAAHk\/w9y8AuD4izg\/s288\/DSC00144.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"288\" height=\"216\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8230;I took the opportunity to sneak into a real, live, Nature Office, to catch up with <a href=\"http:\/\/network.nature.com\/people\/U2929A0EA\/profile\">Anna<\/a> whom I met at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nature.com\/natureconferences\/sciblog2008\/index.html\">SciBlog08<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/network.nature.com\/people\/U66E7CD1A\/profile\">Corrie<\/a> (who was there too!).<\/p>\n<p>We would like to say we headed for our local friendly coffee place, but we succombed to mall culture&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><p style=\"text-align:center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/lh3.ggpht.com\/_SPEoWFy-qc4\/SSK99KmMi3I\/AAAAAAAAAHE\/o9FI65T9Q6Q\/s144\/StarbucksLogo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"140\" height=\"144\" \/><\/p>\n<p>One of the <del>many<\/del> <del>only<\/del> great things about Nature Network is, well, the Networking &#8211; meeting bloggers (and non-bloggers) from all sorts of backgrounds, and engaging in discussion with scientists whom I would never otherwise have come into contact with.
