…Steffi.

Yes, I can imagine Steffi driving one of those around Lüneburger Heide.
I knew she’d bought a new car recently. Wonder if she now regrets opting for the Fiat Panda…?
Ooooh Stephen, you made me blush! (partly also because I only saw this now – it was a busy day, involving a sandbox, lots of water, and very happy kids).
I am actually very happy with my Fiat Panda Diesel, thank you – I get about 4.3l/100km with it on my daily commute. And I’ve noticed more and more Biodiesel available at normal petrol stations here in Northern Germany.
It’s funny with Thunderbirds: the favourite of both my husband and son is Thunderbird 2 because of the different pods and vehicles it can transport.
Steffi – opps, didn’t mean to cause any embarrassment! – Glad to hear that the men in your family will also enjoy the photo – this is just the sort of thing that you would expect to see emerging from the shiny green belly of Thunderbird 2!
Clarkson and May made it to the North Pole with a much more modest vehicle (though they had a substantial crew around them).
They made it back, didn’t they? How disappointing…
I’d like to see them try again, unsupported, in a Fiat Panda.
Excellent idea! They come as “4x4s..”:http://www.topgear.com/uk/fiat/panda/road-test/4×4-1.3-multijet-cross – so no excuse 🙂
Ssssshhh Steffi – I wasn’t going to tell them about the 4×4 version. 😉
Given that they crossed the Channel with outboarder bolted to an old pick-up truck, they might just make it to the pole in a rickety Italian tin. After all, how hard can it be?
Hmm – I guess that might be worth watching… if only for the schadenfreude…
