Once described as ‘CS Lewis on acid,’ Richard has fifteen years’ research experience in industrial and academic laboratories, in Oxford, Cambridge and Sydney. He once specialized in how the structure of biological macro-molecules determines their cellular function, but now he takes a broader view, working as a writer in the medical communications business. He can be frequently found dodging flak in the No Man’s Land between science and art, taking photographs and writing short fiction and poetry. He harbours a secret desire to make internationally acclaimed scientific films.
