Blog: Trading Knowledge

Frank Norman is the Librarian at the MRC National Institute for Medical Research in London, providing scientific information resources for 700 staff.

Frank has been working in libraries for 30 years and has always tried to branch out into related areas, with varying success it should be admitted. He produces and edits the Mill Hill Essays each year and regularly knocks out research news items for the NIMR website.

Frank started blogging in 2008, focusing on the world of libraries, scholarly publishing and the information industry. Ebooks and research data are particular preoccupations, along with trying to find a path for scientific research libraries to follow in the next few years.

Outside of work Frank is a keen choral singer and lover of classical music. He also runs, but not often enough.
