Intrepid explorer Dr. Sir Bob of the Underground explores intrepidly.
Some people will do anything to win anything!;-) (I like the “intrepid explorer” look, clearly necessary for braving M.C. station.)
I am not a competition person, but owing to circumstances outside my control I found myself in a competition with a large number of crime-fiction addicts a few weeks ago. I did not think I would have any trouble winning with zero effort, until I realised the lengths to which some fellow-entrants were prepared to go, including google image searches on their mobile devices for the picture questions, and swelling their teams by 50 per cent above the allowed maximum. Shocking stuff.
