From an email:

Remember, if you are running 15N HSQCs on double labeled protein, you should use the -LABEL_CN option in the pulse program, which incorporates 13C decoupling, and will improve the look of your HSQC in the 15N dimension, as it removes the one-bond N-C coupling

You see, I recognize the words, but they make no sense to me.

Running through the Babelizer improves things, I feel:

They call it, if 15N executed HSQCs in double noticeable protein, if
that one he uses the option of LABEL_CN in the program of the
movement, that account decides that 13C to him and if flied the one of
its HSQC in the measurement of 15N becomes the end still to improve
the Vista inside ignited, from cancellations the connection an
obligation of GOLD

    without to interpret portion

(“seitenkette” is the German word for sidechain – why, why, why does it go forwards, but not backwards…)

  2. Richard P. Grant says:

Ha ha ha ! ‘No-system-based’ is perfect!
    ‘Side’chain. Doesn’t go backwards , see?

  3. Bob O'Hara says:

I wonder how difficult it would be to automatically Babelize the TOCs of journals. I guess we need a bioinformatician to set this up. I guess we could even babelize whole papers. Or has someone has done that already?

  4. Richard P. Grant says:

    Cheeky bar steward.

  5. Maxine Clarke says:

And here was I, thinking it was only journals that publish incomprehensible prose.

  6. Richard P. Grant says:

Naw, entire publishing groups do it, too
