I’m a big fan of the bathroom graffiti genre, and found some outstanding examples last night at The Foundation, an uber-hip vegetarian restaurant:

This second one was right underneath a larger, too-faint-to-photograph entry saying “smiling is the 2nd best thing to do with your lips”:

The food was fantastic, the beer was good, the service was so-so, and I had an awesome last night with my friend, recalling our past boyfriends and crushes and laughing uproariously. She and her family will be gone by the time I get home from work tonight after a really, really fun visit. I’ll miss them, but it will also be nice to have the house back to ourselves, not have to watch Sesame Street in the mornings, and see more of the cats than a tail rapidly disappearing around a corner or a nose sticking tentatively out from under the sofa.

I'm sorry I thought you were British? No upstanding British person would claim that food which contained no meat was awesome. It's like saying non alcoholic beer is the bomb. Who are you and what have you done with our Cath?!
Yes, and no true Scotsman… :)Alcohol-free beer is indeed an abomination, though.
The Foundation is one of my favs of all time 🙂 but the service ALWAYS blows there. Always. But, as long as I order a bottle of wine to share, it never bothers me that it takes 3 hrs for dinner.
I always feel like the servers think I'm not cool enough to be there! But the food is worth it!
Just think – until the development of the internet, bathroom graffiti was almost the only way for strangers who never saw each other to exchange random insults.

RPS, very true! LMAO! I hear the quality of the anatomical drawings is better on the internet, though.Bear, Vancouver is very casual so I normally don't feel like that! The visit was great, thanks! My accent reverted to British while my friend was here, but is back to mid-Atlantic weirdness again now.
