I just received a package from home:
Yeah. Some of these are going up next to my desk at work.
Unfortunately, my parents’ local post office was all sold out of Jessica’s stamp, though…

Everyone’s for Ennis! 🙂
(- and sorry for completely failing to comment lately, but I’m still here!!)
that’s OK, I’ve not exactly been blogging as much as usual anyway!
Wow. That must be the fastest thing the Royal Mail has ever done! 😀
“A fleet of 90 Royal Mail vehicles will deliver the stamps across the UK to over 500 Post Offices to be on sale tomorrow…” – which begs the question… where is this fleet of vehicles when UK denizens want a regular bit of mail delivered on time? 😉
P.S. I’d post a photo of our local gold medal winner above my desk, but honestly, I don’t really care that much about the trampoline.
I find that mail sent between the UK and Canada – in either direction – takes either 3 days or 2 weeks. Never anything in between. (This envelope was sent on Friday of last week, so it was 3 business days). It’s a very interesting phenomenon.
You might care more about the trampoline gold medal if the person who won it was a Wintle…
Likely, yes. Is Ms Ennis a close relative of yours?
I once received a postcard from my parents, sent from Germany, overnight. I have no idea how that worked.
Not as far as Mr E Man knows. His Dad’s side of the family is Irish, although his Dad was born in Manchester.
🙂 great fun!
yes, it helped a little with my post-Olympics blues!
Paralympics soon though! \o/
When I saw her I wondered if you had a secret double life as Olympian. Well done Cath!
my abs are pretty impressive, no?
Those pictures really need photoshopping, don’t they?
