Openlab 2008

I just wanted to make sure I could put the logo and link up – I’m not trying to drop any subtle hints.

Honest.

I accept all major credit cards, Bob.
Thanks for that – Bora wants me to encourage everyone to put the buttons on their blogs, but unless I’m missing something, the NN facility doesn’t let us ‘decorate’ in the frames.
Something Seed media has over us, definitely!
I’ll be making a rallying post for submissions sometime soon…and sniffing around for judges to help me out as well.

  2. Bob O'Hara says:

Judges? Oh Gods, you’re not dropping subtle hints too, are you?

  3. Maxine Clarke says:

Richard’s current post on depression has to be an award-winner, though not sure if this is the kind of topic you are looking for in a science anthology. The comment thread is truly incredible.
I also liked Bob’s series of posts on that workshop because they showed what blogging can contribute: so many talks and articles are about the act of blogging, whereas Bob’s posts just showed what can be done. I understood new stuff reading those!

I vote for Judge Jules myself.

So that’s a potential musical angle.
    Back over to Judge Jenny.

  5. Maxine Clarke says:

Yikes, I just realised this is actually Bob’s blog. In a moment of “nature network snapshot” confusion, I thought it was Jenny’s. I would not have written such comments about you, Sir, had I realised this was your blog and not another person’s.
Never heard of Judge Jules. I have heard of Judge Dredd but never actually read or seen him. Judge Jeffries, now? We could have made an editor out of him ๐Ÿ˜‰

  6. Richard P. Grant says:

bq. Thanks for that โ€“ Bora wants me to encourage everyone to put the buttons on their blogs, but unless I’m missing something, the NN facility doesn’t let us โ€˜decorate’ in the frames.
Not in the frames, but definitely in the profiles

  7. Anna Kushnir says:

And most certainly in discussion forums
    – Totally cool trick, Richard. Would it be tacky for me to copy you?

  8. Richard P. Grant says:

    Feel free, Anna ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. Bob O'Hara says:

Maxine – I’m confused. Are you talking about me behind my back?
By all means think this is one of Jenny’s posts: I could do with another 100-comment thread.

  10. Cath Ennis says:

Just saw your letter in this week’s Nature! Nice work!

  11. Bob O'Hara says:

Thanks, Cath. Alas they took out my comment on getting my data from the CIA: “and after all, they should know”. ๐Ÿ™
