Obama’s Start

Much has been said about the US’s new president. I thought his inauguration speech was great, and he’s set the bar high. But after listening to him, I had to wend my way home from New York. It was clear from the airport bookshop that not everybody in the US is impressed with their new president:

Presumably they think he blogs at Nature Network[1].

I really don’t think I understood any of that FriendFeed conversation that you linked, Bob.
Therefore, I would like the 10 minutes of my life that I spent reading it returned to me, please.
Too bad teh interwebz don’t work this way. Caveat surfor! – Ed.

  2. Eva Amsen says:

Oh, that’s okay – we’re not really understanding each other in that thread either! But I think that might have been Maxine’s point in the first place. It’s all very confusing.

  3. Eva Amsen says:

Ha, Bob, I just clicked through to Flickr and saw the other photo you took of the comedy DVD’s. Will that get its own blog post?

  4. Bob O'Hara says:

Eva – I wasn’t planning on blogging about that photo – I’ve largely avoided using blog to have cheap laughs at creationists. I do that elsewhere.

  5. Henry Gee says:

Isn’t ‘hope’ a kind of speculative fiction? If so then Bazza should be in the SF and Fantasy shelves rather than chick lit.

  6. Elizabeth Crone says:

Here are a few US residents eagerly awaiting Obama’s next move… and more pictures of your cat…

  7. Aaron Colorado says:
