I’ve been reading a lot of the blogosphere’s current crop of resolution posts this week. I came across a comment in one thread (that of course I can’t find again to link to) saying that the darkest time of the year is a terrible time to try to implement change. We should all eat chocolate on the sofa and wait for the Spring Equinox, when we can emerge into the light and warmth full of optimism and healthy new habits.
It can wait.
My new plan is already paying off. At last night’s poker game I was free to have a couple of beers and eat the cookies and chocolates that our hosts had reluctantly denied themselves, while they drank water with lemon juice and ate salad.
