Genius!

My boss is a very busy man whose trainees sometimes have a hard time getting his attention. I’m constantly having to explain that I don’t know where he is, when he’ll be back, or if he’s read their draft yet.

One of them just came up with a novel solution:

print out your latest, hottest results and pin them to the PI’s door with a note saying “come and find me if you think this is interesting”.

What are the odds that I’ll come in on Monday morning to find 20 pages of various people’s results obscuring the entire door?!

HAHA!He just came back to his office, yanked the print-out off the door, stared at it for a minute or two, then strode off in the direction of the trainees' shared office area.Trainee FTW!

Indeed. A bright future beckons, I have no doubt.

Wow, that sounds like an awesome plan. I would try it except my supervisor is NEVER in his office. Stalker phone calls on his cell, it is, then.

Ha!I do hope the trainee was busy with something important when The Boss arrived. 🙂

X-ine, maybe you could attach your results to his car or something then?Bob, I'm sure someone smart enough to figure out how to get the boss to come to them would also be smart enough to be looking busy when he arrived!

Great idea! Might even be better than Unbalanced Reaction's trick of pretending to talk on her cell when she walks out of the building.

  8. Cath@VWXYNot? says:

    Yeah, I liked that too!
