Canadian Rap

My mate John is a Canadian with a problem. He’s also developed an interest in rap. I wouldn’t be worried if it was just any rap, though.

Scientia Pro Publica: The Blogodiversity Edition

Welcome, welcome to the latest edition of Scientia Pro Publica, here at Deep Thoughts and Silliness. This year is the International Year of Biodiversity, so in honour of that I’ll declare this the International Post of Blogodiversity!
Grrlscientist, the carnival’s ringmaster, has developed a taste for lattes, which also have their own biodiversity. So what better to punctuate my drivel? After all, you’re only here for the links.

By the way, the large number of entries meant that I only included one per blog. So you should poke around the blogs on offer here to see what else they’ve written – I had to leave a couple of really nice posts out. Sorry.

Beating the mis-citations (at last)

I’m back!

Sorry, I got a bit distracted from all this blogging. But with the new year, I’m back and might find some time to spew out more of my drivel.
Before I start anything new, I should clean up from last year. It’s not just that the blog has got a bit dusty, but there’s cat hair everywhere. If you’re allergic, it might be best not to wander below the fold for a couple of hours, until the remaining dust has settled.

For the Bird(s)!

My arm is being twisted. ScienceBorgs are having their annual DonorsChoose Challenge, to help American children get an education. There are a pile of projects, mainly to help children in deprived areas, and give the schools a little extra help.

I’m supporting GrrlScientist, and you can too! Ra! Ra! Ra!
So, if you want to help American youth, go to her challenges and donate!
Not only will yo help US children learn about science, but you can also win prizes! And what do prizes mean?

Well, actually it’s over there, at Pleiotropy. There’s lots of good evolutionary stuff, so pop over and have a browse (I also like the way Bjørn has set out the carnival).
